Welcome Back...

This week was a great first week back!
This week your child got to meet and learn about all their new friends in their class. We are going to have a great year I can already tell!! I want to reassure you as parents that the first 2 weeks are going to be the hardest for your child to come to preschool. They are use to being home with mom or dad. They are use to playing and some are use to being the only child and not having to share. Some have never had a teacher or other kids they have to take into consideration. They will learn and they will love it. Be patient parents, this is the best place and time for your child to learn these skills before they hit the public school system.

March Happenings...

March was a full and busy month!!! We celebrated Dr. Seuss's Birthday learned about jobs in our community, and discovered dinosaurs just to name a few. We started of the month with a special visitor. The Cat in the Hat. The kids got a kick out of this. Kyler was a such a good sport.
We made our own Cat in the Hat, hats.
We read and made our own One Fish, Two Fish, Read Fish, Blue Fish art projects.

For snack time we tried Green Eggs & Ham. Some kids liked it better than others.

We spent 2 weeks learning about different types of jobs in our community. We were lucky enough to have some special visitors come and teach us about their jobs.
Kolby's dad came and talked to us about construction and building roads. The kids loved being able to sit in the big truck and honk the horn.
Cameron's dad came and talked to the class about being a police officer.
Dallan's dad is a chemistry teacher and did some pretty cool experiments with the class.
We also had a lot of fun playing at the dramatic play station. Some of the favorite jobs included: post office, restaurant, beauty parlor, and grocery store.

We finished off the month by learning about dinosaurs. The kids had a great time digging for dinosaur bones in the sand table.
We also created our own type of dinosaur. The Shapeosaurus.

We had a great month of learning and fun. The next two months are going to be packed full of fun!!
